Desai, and Indian Ambassador to the United States B.K. Nehru. President Kennedy and Defense Minister Krishnamachari discuss in detail the steps that might be taken to aid India, including a defense commitment by the United States. The India-Pakistan situation is discussed in great detail, providing the Indian point of view in depth regarding relations and the Kashmir dispute. Air defense of India and U.S. aid are also discussed.
