ROBERT F. BRUNER, Charles C. Abbott Professor of Business Administration, Distinguished Professor of Business Administration, and Dean of U.Va.'s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, is the author of The Panic of 1907: Lessons Learned from the Market's Perfect Storm (with Sean D. Carr, Wiley, 2007), Deals from Hell: M&A Lessons that Rise Above the Ashes (Wiley, 2005), and Applied Mergers and Acquisitions (Wiley, 2004).  Bruner's research has been published in journals such as Financial Management and the Journal of Accounting and Economics.

U.Va. Professor of International Relations HERMAN SCHWARTZ's research focuses on the political and economic causes for the relocation of production on a global scale, and the political and economic consequences of such shifts. He edited and was a contributor to Employment "Miracles" (University of Amsterdam Press, 2005) and also wrote States vs. Markets: The Emergence of the Global Economy (2nd edition, Palgrave, 2000). He recently presented his paper, "It's More Than Just Subprime: The Housing Crisis, Global Capital Flows, and American Power," at a Miller Center GAGE Colloquium.

DAVID LEBLANG is a Faculty Associate in the Miller Center's GAGE program and J. Wilson Newman Professor of Governance and Professor of Politics at U.Va. A specialist in political economy, he has served as a consultant to the International Monetary Fund, the Directorate of Finance and Economics of the European Commission, and the Department of Defense. He is co-author of Democratic Politics and Financial Markets: Pricing Politics (Cambridge University Press, 2006).
