President Roosevelt accepts the Democratic Party’s nomination in an attempt to serve an unprecedented third Presidential term.  The President speaks of his reluctance to accept the nomination and does so to provide stability during the nation’s attempts to prevent the current conflicts in Europe (the beginning stages of World War II) from spreading.
