The Iran Hostage Crisis
Thirty years ago, a group of militant Islamist students took control of the American embassy in Iran, holding 53 hostages for 444 days. The Miller Center’s collection of resources on the U.S. and Iran examines how the crisis affected both the Carter administration and the 1980 presidential campaign.
