Milkis is the Miller Center’s White Burkett Miller Professor of Governance and Foreign Affairs and a professor of politics in UVA's Department of Politics. His research focuses on the American presidency, political parties and elections, and social movements. 

Overton is the Patricia Roberts Harris Research Professor of Law at the George Washington University, as well as the founder and faculty director of GW Law’s Multiracial Democracy Project.
